Youssef Chermiti has been the subject of enquiries from Premier League clubs as the race to sign the Rangers star escalates further.
Eyebrows were raised when the Light Blues forked out £8million to sign Chermiti from Everton last summer, but the Portugal Under-21 international has since got the fans back on his side, with Kris Boyd among those who have admitted they were wrong about the player.
Having scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 41 appearances in his debut season at Ibrox, the 22-year-old has quickly become Rangers’ most valuable asset.
This is evidenced by interest from Besiktas, Galatasaray, FC Porto and PSV Eindhoven in signing Chermiti this summer.
How much should Rangers demand for Youssef Chermiti?
He scored 15 goals in his first season at Ibrox…
Premier League clubs make enquiries for Chermiti
Stevie Clifford of the Four Lads Had a Dream podcast previously noted that Rangers are not expected to entertain offers below £30m for Chermiti.
However, the race to sign the former Everton man has escalated further, with more clubs now entering the mix.
According to Clifford’s Four Lads co-host Kenny Stewart, clubs in the Premier League, Serie A and other top European leagues are keeping tabs on Chermiti after making enquiries for him.

The Rangers insider echoed Clifford’s sentiment of demanding at least £30m for the striker, but admitted that a £25m fee with a big sell-on clause would also represent a great piece of business for Andrew Cavenagh and Co.
Speaking on the Four Lads Had a Dream podcast, he said: “My understanding is that there are clubs in England, there are clubs in Italy, there are clubs all over the continent, genuinely querying and keeping a tab on this kid.
“£25m is a great profit, it really is, it’s fantastic. However, I would be looking at quite a big sell-on clause if it were only to be that. Other than that, you are looking at £30m and probably even with a smaller sell-on clause.”
Which of these strikers are Rangers expected to sell?
Lawrence Shankland's arrival will surely change things!
Rangers must cash in on Chermiti
At 22, Chermiti’s best years are still ahead of him, and with one season at Ibrox under his belt, the centre-forward is expected to kick on next term.
Therefore, it is understandable why the Glasgwegian outfit would be hesitant to cash in on him this summer.
However, they must prioritise what is best for business and sell Chermiti, especially if they receive an offer in the region of £30m.
The Ibrox outfit previously lost Alfredo Morelos on a free transfer after holding on to him for five years, and they must not repeat the same mistake with Chermiti.
It is also worth noting that Lawrence Shankland is expected to replace the Portuguese striker’s goals already, while Ryan Naderi is also tipped to step up for Danny Rohl‘s side next term.
