Club insider Twitter account ‘Four Lads Had a Dream’ has claimed that Rangers could make as many as three deadline day signings.
In a tweet published late on Thursday evening, there were updates on the alleged pursuit of Florian Kamberi and on the futures of fringe players Greg Docherty and Jordan Jones.

It was asserted that a loan deal for the Hibs striker is ‘edging closer’, while there were plans in place for Docherty to travel to Edinburgh for talks about a loan move to the Easter Road outfit.
Meanwhile, it’s claimed that Northern Ireland international, Jones, is in loan discussions with EFL Championship side Middlesbrough, the club at which he began his career.
In a later tweet, it was asserted that prospective moves for Kamberi and Docherty ‘aren’t dependant on each other.’
It seems that two of the three potential signings mentioned in the initial Four Lads tweet are Hibs’ Kamberi and Ianis Hagi of Genk, whose loan signing was confirmed this morning [Rangers.co.uk].

What will have been intriguing Bears, is the identity of the third potential new arrival, who was referred to as a ‘surprise’ in a follow-up tweet.
It seems that while details of other pursuits have leaked, this one has been kept under wraps until now.
Over the last few hours, reports have linked the Gers with a move for Burnley striker Matej Vydra [Glasgow Times] and the Four Lads account has since reaffirmed the links.
It seems that there’s a distinct possibility the Gers will sign the Czech Republic international.
Verdict
After weeks of talk about squad trimming and vague rumours which failed to turn into signings, the Gers have sprung into life for what looks set to be a manic period before tonight’s 11 pm deadline.
It seems a combination of last weekend’s defeat at Hearts and Wednesday night’s injury to Jermain Defoe have prompted the club to up the ante and bring in more bodies.
After a relatively lacklustre start to 2020, injections of quality and attacking flair into the squad could be exactly what’s needed to get the quest for a 55th top-flight title back on track.
