Rangers striker Youssef Chermiti is on the radar of a few European clubs this summer.

After a decent first season at Ibrox, the Portuguese forward has already impressed teams on the continent who are willing to take a punt on him.

Rangers will demand at least £30m for Chermiti, even though they paid just £8m to sign him from Everton 12 months ago.

Rangers not expected to force out Youssef Chermiti

According to Chris Jack, Chermiti is not someone the Light Blues are looking to cash in on this summer.

The club have been dealt a financial blow as they did not qualify for the Champions League and may need to sell players in order to balance the books and also spend on new players.

Jack has admitted that there will be a few players who will be used to boost revenues, but Chermiti is not expected to be one of them.

However, the Rangers Review journalist has admitted that there will be a number that works for all parties and if any club is willing to pay that kind of money, he will then be shown the door.

He said: “Other players in the squad will move on to kind of boost that.

“But I don’t think Chermiti is one that they would knowingly try and kind of force out the door just from a financial perspective.

“But there will be a number that just makes sense for all parties, and there will be a club that just makes sense for Chermiti.”

How will Chermiti and Lawrence Shankland play together in the same eleven?

One of the things Danny Rohl will want to look to perfect in pre-season will be to get Lawrence Shankland and Chermiti, his two top strikers, to play well together.

Shankland, the more experienced of the two, is known to be a fox in the box who thrives on service and creates space intelligently.

Chermiti, on the other hand, is the more mobile option, who’s known for his dribbling, hold-up play and ability to stretch defences with his pace.

This means that Rohl would ask the Portuguese forward to drop deep and get involved in build-up while asking the Scotland international to run in behind and offer the finishing touches.

Chermiti may not get as many goals as he got this past season, but his assist numbers will likely increase, and that will benefit the team as a whole.
