Rangers striker Kemar Roofe is attracting interest from a second League One side, according to a report, with Sheffield Wednesday joining Derby County in chasing the Ibrox star.

According to The Sun, the Owls want Roofe to bolster their promotion chances after an injury-hit spell at Ibrox.

Roofe has hit 34 goals in 72 matches for Rangers despite his injury issues but has spent several spells on the sidelines in his two years at Ibrox.

With the arrival of Antonio Colak at Ibrox this summer, Roofe looks likely to have been pushed further down the pecking order and his future appears up in the air.

As the Gers get ready for the new season kicking off this weekend, the Light Blues are waiting for Roofe to return from his latest injury.

Ibrox exit could make sense if the price is right for Rangers

Although Roofe can have a part to play, Rangers may look to move him on if the right deal is on offer.

A loan move where Rangers subsidise most the wages wouldn’t make sense but a permanent move for a decent fee would be a good deal.

If he does move, Rangers would need to bring in a new striker this summer, with Italian star Patrick Cutrone one who has been linked to the Light Blues/
