Tragic Hibs Easter Road fan display slaughtered by Rangers fans

Hibs fans have been getting slaughtered online for an underwhelming Easter Road display which was unveiled before the club’s 1-0 loss to Rangers.

The Hibs banner appeared to try and spell out HFC in the crowd but the Easter Road club’s supporters are being sarcastically ribbed for the indecipherable nature of the display.

The reaction to the display has added insult to injury after Rangers nabbed a late winner against the Easter Road side.

Rangers won courtesy of a late Kemar Roofe penalty after Hibs defender Ryan Porteous had fouled Ryan Kent in Hibs’ box.

It was a cool penalty which sent thew Rangers end into delirium with the Ibrox support taking over Easter Road in the aftermath.

Hibs fans gets ribbed for display by Rangers support

The fans of both sides were lively throughout the game with the match stopped at one point due to flares being thrown onto the pitch by Hibs and Rangers fans.

But whilst the Gers support have been earning plaudits on Twitter, the Hibees have been receiving quite the opposite.

Supporters have taken to Twitter to goad Hibs fans and their display as the Edinburgh side continue to lick their wounds after the defeat:

The result puts Rangers seven points clear in the Scottish Premiership and heaps the pressure on Old Firm rivals Celtic.

The Parkhead side face off against Hearts this evening and Rangers can be safe in the knowledge that they will be at least four points clear by the time it finishes.

Victory at Easter Road over Hibs also made it three wins from three games for new manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst with the tragic display an added bonus for Rangers fans

Rangers also welcomed a new Dutch addition to their backroom staff ahead of the match with Hibs after poaching the coach from an Elite European Academy.
