Rangers star Fashion Sakala has been named as the SPFL Team of the Week Star Man following his hattrick in the 6-1 demolition of Motherwell at Fir Park over the weekend.
The talented Zambian international striker, 24, announced himself at Ibrox and in Scottish football with the impressive treble and has since been the toast of Rangers.

The special SPFL Team of the Week compiles the XI best players from across all four divisions of the Scottish Professional Football League.
Despite a well-publicised dispute between Rangers and the professional members’ body, it would look particularly petty to ignore the exploits of the country’s top performer over the weekend.
Sakala is one of only four Scottish Premiership players in the SPFL’s Team of the Week, joining Livingston defender Jack Fitzwater, Aberdeen captain Scott Brown and St Johnstone goalie Zander Clark in the team.
Former Rangers youngsters Tom Lang – Raith Rovers – and Charlie Telfer – now of Falkirk – are also included in the Team of the Week.
But for Rangers supporters, the inclusion of hero of the hour Fashion Sakala and his status as Star Man will have them delighted.

Upon scoring his first league goals for Rangers, Sakala also beamed that he’d be sleeping with the match ball in a positive, humble and respectful interview that captured Ibrox hearts.
🗣️"The match ball is safe, I'm just waiting for the guys to sign it! I'll sleep with it tonight!"

“First of all I’d like to thank God for my first career hat-trick,” Sakala told Sky Sports.
“I really appreciate the group of players I have here in the squad and the great staff that I have. They have been very supportive and they make things look very easy for me.
“That’s the most important thing for me. I think I’m getting there. I just have to keep working extra hard and being with the group, I believe there’s more to come.
“I have to keep believing, working extra hard, and staying positive and motivated every day.
“Something I have seen at this club is we all have the same mentality of winning, which is very good and I’m very happy about that.
“In the past three or four games we’ve come from behind, but it would be important for us to score first. We need to stop conceding first, which is something the gaffer already talked about.
“It [the match ball] is safe! I’m just waiting for the guys to sign it and I’ll sleep with it today!”
Signed in the summer on a pre-contract following the expiration of his deal at Belgian side KV Oostende, Rangers fans are delighted the striker has begun to find his feet.
