Rangers defender Filip Helander was again left on the bench for this afternoon’s draw with Motherwell at Fir Park – and Gers fans on Twitter want the Swede back in the starting XI ahead of Leon Balogun.
Balogun didn’t exactly cover himself in glory as Motherwell took a 20th-minute lead through Devante Cole – having come through an injury scare in the warm-up.

Helander has struggled to get back into the side recently after losing his place to the summer signing, but Rangers fans are adamant that he is a better fit for the side than Balogun.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
The Swede’s last start came at the end of December when the Gers faced St. Mirren but his opportunities have been limited recently.
After seeing Balogun struggle against the Steelmen, fans on Twitter think it’s time Gerrard makes a change in defence and reinstates Helander.
Despite his knock in the warm-up, Balogun played the full 90 minutes against Motherwell but it will be interesting to see whether he retains his place in the side or whether Helander is preferred.
Fans on Twitter want the Swede back in the side – with several insisting the side is better with him in it.
Here are some of the comments from Rangers fans on Twitter:
Rangers still a better team with Helander in it. Don’t @ me.

Balogun is a handy player to have, but he is not Helander. I have no idea how he is keeping him out the team.

I will say it until I’m blue in the face too: we’re better with Helander in the team.

Balogun very sloppy for the goal. Helander much better in those positions.
More urgency and quality needed in the final third.
We'll have plenty of possession so need to make it count.
