Rangers fans were in jubilant mood tonight after Celtic dropped another three points in the title race procession after losing 1-0 to Ross County in Dingwall – and Gers fans are now counting down the days to an inevitable title party next month.
Hours after beating Dundee United 4-1, the Light Blues saw their rivals slip up in the Highlands and leave the Gers 18 points clear at the top of the table with only eight games left.

Jordan White’s header gave the Staggies the lead after 70 minutes, lifting John Hughes’ side off the foot of the table in the process, as County secured a potentially season-defining result at both ends of the table. [Sky Sports]
County were under the cosh in the final stages of the game as Celtic tried desperately to salvage something from the game and avoid another defeat by the Staggies this season.
The Light Blues are now seven points away from the title and could even lift it on March 7 if results go in the Gers’ favour.
A win over Livingston followed up by a win against St Mirren on March 6 would see Rangers crowned champions if Celtic drop points in either of their next two games.
Rangers fans on Twitter were delighted with the latest clown show from the deposed champions and are now just waiting for the day James Tavernier gets his hands on the title.
