Rangers will face Cove Rangers at the end of the month in the Scottish Cup third round – and Gers fans on Twitter are delighted with the draw.

The Light Blues were drawn to take on the League One side at Ibrox on January 30 and will be confident of securing their spot in the last 16.

Paul Hartley’s side are currently sitting second in League One, two points behind leaders Falkirk, but face a massive task at Ibrox against the Gers.

With Rangers aiming to get their hands on their first major trophy since 2011, a first Scottish Cup win since 2009 would be a fantastic end to the campaign.

The fixture will take place on the weekend of January 30 and will likely be picked for TV as the minnows look to cause what would be one of the biggest Scottish Cup shocks ever.

Fans on Twitter were delighted with the draw, with one thinking former Rangers star Peter Lovenkrands for helping out and giving his old side an easy draw.
