As West Ham and Nottingham Forest are linked with a move for Ibrahim Sangare, both clubs might be hoping for Rangers progression v PSV in the Champions League Playoff.

According to reputable journalist Pete O’Rourke – writing for Football Insider – both Premier League sides will be attendance for the Philips Stadion clash this week.

The report claims that both clubs will have their eye on Senegalese midfielder Ibrahim Sangare, with West Ham and Nottingham Forest joining a host of suitors for the PSV star.

The likes of PSG, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have all been mentioned as Sangare suitors amid reports of a £32m release clause and Rangers fans know all too well what the midfielder can offer.

Scoring in the Champions League Playoff at Ibrox last season, the midfielder repeated the feat last week with yet another strike against Rangers in a pressure match.

West Ham linked to Ibrahim Sangare ahead of Rangers PSV

With the tie in the balance after a 2-2 draw at Ibrox during the week, Rangers and PSV know the Champions League Playoff clash will go to the wire.

And PSV Eindhoven will be hoping their top players come to the fore with Ibrahim Sangare certainly one of them.

Should West Ham and Nottingham Forest harbour serious ambitions of signing Ibrahim Sangare, then they will likely be cheering on Rangers in their Champions League playoff v PSV.

If the Eredivisie side can overcome the Gers then the hopes of either team of signing the midfielder certainly dip with PSV earning a place at Europe’s top table.

But if Rangers can ditch the Dutch for the second reason in a row then the likes of West Ham may well sound a lot more attractive to Ibrahim Sangare this season.

There’s a lot to be decided before that can happen with the Champions League Playoff tie in the balance and the eyes of Europe, and the Premier League, set to be on Rangers’ clash with PSV.
