WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has stood toe-to-toe with former WWE & UFC Champion Brock Lesnar and came out victorious – and the Ayr-born behemoth confessed it was Rangers icon Graeme Souness who left him “terrified.”
McIntyre tweeted that the Gers would be getting a custom WWE Title after winning the Scottish Premiership for the 55th time, and dug out an old Rangers video after the title was confirmed.
After watching an Ally McCoist video, McIntyre was reminded of his fear of Souness – although he was “loving every second” of the classic McCoist video.
“I had a big celebration,” McIntyre said [TalkSPORT]. “I’ll tell you what I did – and you’ll like this, Ally – I started thinking what am I going to do? I can’t start partying, it’s 10 in the morning here.
“I’ve got a gym in my garage so I start working out and I thought what can I watch? I put on some old Rangers clips, old goals. But I used to watch ‘The Real McCoist’ religiously. I had the old VHS so I thought I’m going to put it on and see what it’s like.
“I watched it all the way through and there’s so many jokes that went over my head when I was a kid. I was loving every second of it! And I remembered, there was one person I feared more than anyone, and I’ve fought a few scary guys.
“I beat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania last year and the man I was scared of when I was younger was Graeme Souness. Souness and that murder ‘tache of his, I’m terrified of him.”
Celtic’s unreal Twitter meltdown last night capped off an incredible but surreal few days for Rangers fans
