St. Johnstone v Rangers is next up in a hectic schedule for the club which will see Rangers player three games in six days.
This one has to be considered the most winnable of the lot. Not that for a second it’ll be easy for Rangers.
After an encouraging display but a disappointing result, the pressure is on Rangers to deliver today. It’s a pressure that’s building even more after yesterday’s results.
The Rangers team is thin on the ground and there’s no doubt the team is feeling the schedule. The important thing is that we get to the January break with our season intact. We need big results and big performances and one final, big push.

Rangers are carrying some knocks but are encouraged that a few players will be available. That said, I don’t expect Gerrard and co to take any risks later today. With huge matches against Hibs and Celtic at Ibrox to come, we’ll need all the firepower and strength we have.
Gerrard to reshuffle pack
Tomorrow, I think we’ll be forced to reshuffle from a physical battle on Wednesday night. In defence, out goes McAuley and in comes Worrall. I fancy Halliday/Flanagan to come in for Barsisic too, who went down at Easter Road. McGregor, Tavernier and Goldson make up the rest of the defence.
Rangers are “pretty hopeful” Scott Arfield will be available, and I think he will be risked if so. He joins McCrorie and Jack in midfield.
Up front, I fancy Gerrard to go with Grezda, Middleton and Morelos. That has got to be enough to dispatch the Perthshire Saints.
