Rangers will have their ticket allocation at Rugby Park halved for the final game of the season against Kilmarnock – leaving some Gers fans on Twitter furious with the Ayrshire side.

Killie confirmed that the Gers support would only be given the Chadwick Stand rather than the Chadwick and Moffat Stand as they celebrate their 150th anniversary.

The two sides meet on May 19th in a match that could have massive repercussions for Killie’s hopes of securing European football next season.

Previous visits by the Light Blues typically double Killie’s average gates of around 6000, with the Gers regularly selling out both stands – however that won’t be the case this time with Rangers only getting around 4000 tickets instead of the usual 8000.

With Killie only selling around 4000 tickets of their own for the previous meetings between the sides this season, they stand to take a substantial financial hit.

Some Gers fans were that incensed by the decision that they called for a boycott of away grounds while others found Kilmarnock’s decision “laughable.”
