Bobby Madden has been appointed as the referee for Sunday’s Old Firm clash at Celtic Park – and some Rangers fans are not happy.

Madden will take charge of his fourth Old Firm since his debut in March 2017 when Graeme Murty’s side picked up a 1-1 draw.

He took charge twice last season, refereeing Celtic’s 4-0 win in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden and a 0-0 Parkhead draw.

David McGeachie and Alan Mulvanny will assists with Kevin Clancy as fourth official.

Some Gers fans are not happy with the appointment after a number of high-profile blunders involving the referee.

One supporter thinks Madden is the “worst” the Gers could have got from the Scottish FA’s pool of officials – while another posted a list of stats about Madden’s officiating.

The Parkhead clash will be the third meeting of the sides this season with Steven Gerrard’s side needing a win to have any faint hopes of winning the title.

A win for Celtic would effectively seal an eight title in a row for them and extend Rangers’ winless run in the East End to nine years.
