Ojo has followed Kent’s path to Ibrox on a season-long loan from Anfield and picked his Liverpool team-mate’s brain before moving north of the border.
Since arriving, Ojo has quickly found out for himself that Kent was right on the money and the star admits he’s excited for the future at Ibrox.
“Ryan Kent told me Rangers are amazing. He said it was the first time he had enjoyed his football in a long time,” Ojo said, as quoted by Football Scotland.
“I sensed that as soon as I came here, in training and in the game against Oxford. It’s all about enjoying your football, not just for me but for everyone else in the team.
“It’s an amazing set-up, with the Europa League, the domestic league and all the cup games. Everyone’s looking forward to showing what we can do as a club and as individuals.”
Ojo has already made an impressive start to life at Ibrox and got on the scoresheet in the 4-0 win over St. Joseph’s in the Europa League.
The Liverpool youngster looked direct and eager to show what he can do as he put the minnows under the cosh before grabbing the second goal of the game with a lovely curling strike.
Gers fans are still hoping that Kent will follow Ojo up the M6 and return to Ibrox for a second loan stint and hearing what the winger had to say to his Anfield team-mate will give a bit more hope that a return will happen.
