Rangers midfielder Ross McCrorie has bee named in the starting XI for the massive Reserve League clash with Hamilton this afternoon.
The first-team ace joins Glenn Middleton in the side as Graeme Murty’s group look to take a step closer to lifting the Reserve League title with a win.
The young Gers need to win if they are to set up a final day shoot-out for the title with Celtic and Hibs.
After the Easter Road side finished their fixtures yesterday, both halves of the Old Firm still have one more game to play after this week.
A win over Hamilton would see the Gers draw level on points with both Celtic and Hibs and put the title within their grasp.
McCrorie has been used sparingly in the first-team in recent weeks and the chance to get some game-time under his belt for the reserves will suit everyone.
He could well come back into the starting XI for the visit of Aberdeen to Ibrox this weekend.
It’s a massive week for the reserves with the Scottish FA Youth Cup final against Celtic taking place at Hampden on Thursday.
Three wins from three over the next week would be a fantastic end to the campaign and see Murty’s side walking away with a couple of trophies for their efforts.
