The Australian claimed that Davis is “underrated” and called the Northern Ireland captain an “exceptional footballer.”
“You have to look at the experience Rangers have brought in and say, who is going to hit the ground running and it would be Rangers, wouldn’t it?” McDonald told BT Sport.

With the Gers pushing Celtic all the way so far, Davis and Defoe could help Gerrard’s side that that next step.

The Gers return to action on Friday night when they face Cowdenbeath in the Scottish Cup.
Davis and Defoe could debut against the Blue Brazil.
If they don’t, then it could come when the Gers welcome HJK Helsinki to Ibrox on Sunday in a friendly.
