Reported Rangers target Renato Tapia has decided his future ahead of his contract ending this month – according to Peru’s technical director.
The Peru international is out of contract with Feyenoord at the end of the month and has been linked with a move to Ibrox.
The midfielder has reportedly made his mind up over where his future lies but it looks as though we’ll have to wait a little longer to see if he is Ibrox-bound.
“Tapia is going to get a team and what’s more, I think he already has,” Juan Carlos Oblitas told Ovacion, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“I don’t want to say who it is though because he still has a contract until the end of the month.
“I feel calm when it comes to him.”
The 24-year-old has been linked with both halves of the Old Firm, Celta Vigo and Angers in France and it won’t be too long until he reveals his decision.
A move to Ibrox would be an interesting one and would add something different to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers midfield ahead of the new campaign.
The versatile star can also slot in at right-back or in central defence so it could help fill a few gaps in Gerrard’s squad if he joins the Light Blues.
