Rangers fans could be in for a disappointment as yet more conflicting reports over Ryan Kent‘s future have emerged – with the latest being that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has “blocked” a loan move for the winger.
According to the Mirror’s David Anderson, Klopp has “disappointed” Steven Gerrard and Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa by including Kent in his squad for their US tour and stopping another loan move.

However, other reports have also claimed that the Gers won’t find out until next week, at the earliest, whether Kent will be allowed to return and, according to STV, have ‘first option‘ if he is allowed to go on loan.
Rangers have made no secret of their wish to bring Kent back to Ibrox after the winger wowed fans and picked up the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award last season.
While Gerrard has made moves to cover the possibility that Kent won’t return, the Gers boss has spoken repeatedly of his admiration for the Liverpool youngster.

If Kent does return to Glasgow, it would be a good bit of business by the Light Blues but their title chances aren’t going to live or die on whether Kent returns.
Should Liverpool decide to keep him around – or sell him on – Gerrard’s squad has enough quality in it that they should still be in a very strong position to push Celtic and challenge for the title this season.
