Rangers won’t be signing William Pacho after all as the Royal Antwerp defender prepares to join Eintracht Frankfurt.
Pacho is just one of a host of names linked with signing for Rangers in recent times.
Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad claimed in January that Rangers were keen to sign Pacho after scouting him for Antwerp.
Monaco were also thought to be interested, giving Rangers some serious competition for the defender.
A big problem came up though as Sport1 in Germany suggested that Antwerp wanted £13million for Pacho when Frankfurt came calling.
That kind of money was never going to come from Rangers and Pacho is off to Germany after all, rather than Ibrox.

Rangers target William Pacho is signing for Eintracht Frankfurt
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reports that Pacho to Frankfurt is now a ‘done deal’.
Plettenberg claims that the contracts have been signed and Pacho is heading for Germany this summer.
Frankfurt have agreed to pay around €9million (£8million) for Pacho, driving down Antwerp’s initial asking price.
It’s added that Pacho will be penning a five-year deal with Antwerp, taking him until the summer of 2028.
Pacho, 21, only joined Antwerp from Independiente del Valle in January 2022 but he has risen to prominence.
The centre back appears to be the next big talent to come out of Ecuador and he will now have a chance to shine in Germany.
A natural left-sided defender, Pacho will seemingly join Frankfurt as a replacement for Evan Ndicka, who is a target for Premier League clubs.
Rangers may have missed out on Pacho but maybe we will see the Gers pounce for another defender this summer.
Let’s just hope this isn’t another case of Rangers missing out on a quality signing after the likes of Danilho Doekhi, Joey Veerman, Terem Moffi and even Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
