Rangers icon Walter Smith has been immortalised in a mural in one Rangers bar in Glasgow – however, Gers fans were left scratching their head when one fan shared an image of it on social media.
Smith, arguably the greatest Rangers manager ever, is currently on the mend after illness but it is unlikely he’d be too impressed with how he looks in the image adorning the wall of Oswalds.
I'm sorry but that just isnae Walter Smith pic.twitter.com/JutkHuVKuD

Smith won ten league titles, six League Cups and five Scottish Cups over two spells as Gers manager, as well as guiding the Gers to the 2008 UEFA Cup final before eventually retiring ten years ago.
Between his two spells in charge of hte Gers, Smith also managed Everton and Scotland, but it is his time in charge at Ibrox that helped make him one of Scottish football’s true greats.
With such a glittering career and prominent place in the folklore of Rangers, he doesn’t deserve the atrocity that is the mural in Oswald’s – which had one bemused fan asking whether he had eaten a wasp.
Here are some of the comments from Rangers fans on Twitter after the image of the mural started doing the rounds:
