An originally dubious transfer business report from Football Insider concerning Rangers still looking at the free-agent market appears to have legs after it was reported on by a range of publications.

The Scotsman is the latest outlet to rehash the story after the Daily Express ran with the claims made by the oftentimes suspicious news outlet.

Reports linking Rangers to former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio [RMC Sport] also appear to have solidified the claims.

Rangers signed eleven players in a busy transfer window which culminate in the £6.5m rising to £7.5m [Sky Sports] signing of Liverpool winger Ryan Kent.

The player becomes the second most expensive player in Rangers history, still some way off the £12m Rangers reportedly splurged on Norwegian forward Tore Andre Flo.

Kent followed the high-profile arrivals of Swedish international Filip Helander for a reported £3m [RangersTV] and fellow centre-half George Edmundson from Oldham for a reported fee of £650k.

Rangers also added the Joe Aribo – a player highly sought after in the Premier League and across Europe – for a nominal fee after his contract expired at Charlton.

On top of that, Rangers have also signed Greg Stewart, Steven Davis, Jake Hastie (who’s since moved on loan to Rotherham), Jordan Jones and Brandon Barker on permanent deals.

Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo and Leicester’s Andy King have joined the club on loan.

But could we yet see more arrivals through the door at Ibrox?
