Rangers trio Ryan Jack, Steven Davis and Glen Kamara have won huge praise from the unlikeliest of sources – BBC pundit and serial Rangers ‘critic’ Michael Stewart.
The failed Ibrox trialist usually looks to find the slightest negative in anything Rangers-related but admits that the midfield trio have “transformed” the Gers this season.
He didn’t stop there either and insists they are “only going to get better” and believes they have now shown they can hold their own against anyone.
“Ryan Jack, Steven Davis and Glen Kamara have transformed the Ibrox club’s engine room this season,” Stewart told the Scottish Sun.
“The scary thing is they’re only going to get better and better the more they play together. It’s not that long since you feared for Rangers, especially when they went up against Celtic.
“Not any more. Now Steven Gerrard has a midfield that can hold its own no matter who they are playing.”
Jack and Davis have won most of the plaudits but Kamara seems to have gone under the radar a little despite impressing alongside his colleagues.
There’s little doubt this is the strongest Gers midfield since last time Davis was at the club and the Ulsterman has really helped improve both Jack and Kamara.
Hopefully, that can help take Rangers to some silverware after a long eight-year wait to bring some back to Ibrox.
