Rangers star Alfredo Morelos bagged a double for the Light Blues to beat Aberdeen 2-1 and send the Gers 22 points clear at the top of the Premiership – and Gers fans on Twitter were buzzing for the Colombian.

Morelos scored either side of half time before Matty Kennedy grabbed a late consolation for the Dons in an impressive performance from the Light Blues in the Granite City.

The gap could have been even bigger had James Tavernier converted a first-half penalty as the Gers skipper surprisingly missed from 12 yards after sending Joe Lewis the wrong way.

Morelos looks to have his goal-scoring touch back after struggling to find the net in the first half of the season, and hopefully, the Colombian can fire Rangers to the title in May.

El Bufalo looked eager to make things happen for Rangers this afternoon and the Gers star was a real problem for Aberdeen, firing the goals that made it 15 wins in a row in the league for Gerrard’s side.

After missing a couple of games through suspension, then being benched, Morelos is going to be vital for the Ibrox side as they push towards their first major trophy in a decade.
