Rangers manager Gary McAllister gave an update on the fitness of Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield this morning as he spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow’s clash with St. Mirren – and Gers fans are worried Ryan Jack has become the “new Jordan Rossiter.”
Jack has been sidelined since the clash with Aberdeen on November 22 while Arfield limped out of Saturday’s 1-0 win over Hibs just minutes after coming off the bench himself.

“Scott Arfield is on his way to get a scan and we are awaiting results,” McAllister said [Rangers].
“It was disappointing to see him leave the pitch and hopeful the scan is not too bad. We are still going to have to be patient with Ryan Jack.”
McAllister’s comments on Jack are the most worrying with the midfielder almost certainly looking as though he is out of this weekend’s Old Firm clash, despite the Gers assistant manager saying last week that he was close to a return.
The comparisons with Rossiter are maybe a little extreme but there is good reason for some concern over Jack’s injury problems as the midfielder has now missed over 60 games through injury since signing in 2017.
Fans on Twitter were worried Jack might be out of action for a considerable period – with the Rossiter comparison made by a few supporters.

With Arfield and Jack out of the St. Mirren clash, one Rangers star is hopeful he gets a chance to start in Paisley tomorrow
