Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has sent a message to international team-mate James Rodriguez after he completed his move to Everton from Real Madrid.
The Colombian superstar moved to Goodison Park for £22million and Morelos joined a host of his compatriots in wishing James the best.
Rodriguez has struggled at Real Madrid and spent two seasons on loan with German giants Bayern Munich, with current Toffees boss Carlo Ancelotti signing the 29-year-old for both clubs.
Rodriguez had one year left on his contract with Real but was surplus to requirements for Bernabeu boss Zinedine Zidane.
After taking to Instagram to celebrate his switch from Madrid to Liverpool, Morelos wrote, “Bendiciones papa en esta nueva etapa” (“Blessings dad in this new stage”) in reply to him.
The Rangers star could make a move of his own with a host of clubs reportedly chasing his signature and Lille having an offer rejected by the Gers.
Morelos has been a fantastic signing for Rangers since arriving for £1million from HJK Helsinki three years ago and if the Gers can get £20million for the striker it would be an incredible bit of business.
While there’s still some time until the transfer window closes, it seems very unlikely that he’ll still be a Rangers player come the end of October.
