Arfield but in a hard-working shift against Hibs and was denied a goal by two excellent saves by Ofir Marciano as the Canadian international looked the snatch the win for Steven Gerrard’s side

With Ryan Jack and Joe Aribo injured, Arfield has been given a chance to impress in recent games and will have done his chances of a start on Thursday night against Willem II no harm at all.
The Rangers star is the only Gers player in the XI with Hibs keeper Marciano also getting the nod after his performance at Easter Road.
Arfield has since apologised after failing being denied by Ofir Marciano from point-blank range and has suggested that things are being overanalysed in the Rangers dressing-room.
The midfielder seems to be someone that Steven Gerrard really puts his faith in and he will almost certainly have a massive role to play over the coming weeks and months in the push for 55.
Despite not scoring at Easter Road, Arfield’s performance caught the eye and will definitely have given Gerrard something to think about when the likes of Jack and Aribo are back to full fitness.
