Rangers teen Kai Kennedy could be set to perform a u-turn over his Gers future after reportedly restarting contract talks with the Light Blues.
According to Glasgow Live, Kennedy and the club “are willing to sit down and hold further talks in the coming weeks and months” after they broke down earlier this year over his playing time.
Since then, Kennedy has been shipped out on loan to Inverness CT and it now looks as though he could be willing to commit his future to Rangers.
Manchester City, Roma and Bayern Munich have all been credited with an interest in the talented teenager and Rangers are keen to keep him at Ibrox and continue his progress here.
Kennedy made his first-team debut earlier this year in the Scottish Cup win over Stranraer and is very highly thought of by fans and the club’s coaching staff.
With five appearances under his belt for Caley so far, his loan spell has been able to give him the minutes he wanted to continue his development and it may well have played into his change of heart.
There’s little doubt that he has massive potential and it would be a shame if he was to follow the lead of Chelsea wonderkid Billy Gilmour and left Rangers before he’d really established himself.
