Rangers defender Connor Goldson has admitted that he “didnt really know what to do” after scoring twice in today’s dominant Old Firm win over Celtic.
The centre-back scored nine minutes into each half to give the Light Blues a comfortable win over their bitter rivals and open up a four-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Goldson confessed it wasn’t the same without fans being there as he hoped they would be allowed to return soon.
“Even when I scored the goals I didn’t really know what to do,” Goldson told Rangers TV. “No fans, no cameras. I ran over to that far corner and there was literally nothing there so I just turned back around.
“Delighted but it’s not the same without the fans so hopefully we see them again soon.”
The win was as convincing a win as the Gers have had over their bitter rivals in a long, long time as they recorded back-to-back Old Firm wins for the first time in 11 years.
Gerrard’s side were in control from the first whistle through to the final one and were good value for their win to round off the first round of fixtures in the Premiership campaign.
