Nigerian legend Viktor Ikpeba has admitted that he was “really impressed” with the Super Eagles in their 2-2 draw with Ukraine this week and singled out Joe Aribo for praise after the Rangers star’s international debut.
Aribo scored just four minutes into his debut as Nigeria started a new era minus the likes of John Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo after their retirement from international duty.

Ikpeba believes the “future is very bright” for the Africans and was pleased with the “promising” debut of Aribo.
“The absence of former skipper John Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo who have retired from international duties were adequately covered which is good,” Ikpeba told CompleteSports.com.

“I think the future is very bright for this team and Aribo who got his debut game for Nigeria looks promising enough. Overall, I’m really impressed.”
Aribo has made an impressive start to life at Rangers following his move from Charlton and Super Eagles fans were blown away with his performance against Ukraine.

After returning to Scotland this week, Aribo will be hoping to help Rangers get over their recent Old Firm defeat when they welcome Livingston to Ibrox on Saturday.
