Rangers fans already adore Colombian talisman Alfredo Morelos – but a video released by the club showing his interactions with one young fan left even the most miserable bluenose wiping away a tear.
Morelos carried six-year-old mascot Lucas Rae-Shreenan onto the pitch before the 5-0 win over Hearts on Sunday and the Rangers TV cameras captured their interaction in the tunnel just before emerging to 50,000 fans.

After spotting Morelos making his way along the corridors that lead to the tunnel, the youngster started chanting Morelos’ name.
As the Colombian takes Lucas into his arms, the heart-melting youngster thanks Morelos as they start making their way out towards the pitch.
Fans had already praised Morelos after Lucas’ mum had taken to Twitter to thank everyone for making his day so enjoyable, and it’s clear to see why.
Despite the negativity that sometimes surrounds the club, moments like the one in the video are a huge reminder of just what is so special about Rangers – and football in general.
The club’s tweet garnered a huge reaction from fans and hopefully, the amazing feedback from supporters can continue to bring a wee bit joy for Lucas and his family after spending much of his young life in hospital.
