Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has named his starting XI for this afternoon’s Old Firm clash at Celtic Park – and some Gers fans are delighted to see Ross McCrorie return to the side

The Gers boss has made five changes to the side that started the last game before the international break with Joe Worrall, Andy Halliday McCrorie, Scott Arfield and Ryan Jack replacing Niko Katic, Borna Barisic, Glen Kamara, Lassana Coulibaly and Steven Davis – as confirmed by the Light Blues’ official Twitter account.

McCrorie last made the starting XI last month but is back in the side – and fans will be hoping he can maintain his unbeaten domestic record so far this season.

The Gers travel across the city to face their bitter rivals knowing a defeat would effectively hand Celtic their eighth consecutive title, however, a win would potentially blow the title race wide open.

After winning the last meeting between the sides at Ibrox in December, Gerrard’s side have shown they are capable of getting the better of Celtic but will need to be at their best today.

A run of four games without a win before the international isn’t ideal for Gerrard’s side but the trip to Celtic Park is a great chance to pick up a massive win and give them some momentum going into the final run of games.
