Rangers weren’t the only Scottish side in Europa League action last night as both Motherwell and Aberdeen looked to book their place in the third qualifying round against Coleraine and Viking Stavanger – and Gers fans weren’t sure how to feel after Ross McCrorie scored his second goal in two games for Derek McInnes’ side.
The 22-year old scored the winner against Kilmarnock at the weekend before repeating the trick in the 44th minute in Norway last night as he continues to make a strong case for being the signing of the transfer window so far.
The versatile star will join Aberdeen on a permanent deal at the end of the season after spending this term on loan and he’s made a massive difference as the Dons have put in a really impressive start.
Ryan Hedges made it 2-0 towards the end and set up a glamour clash with Portuguese giants Sporting in Lisbon next week and join Rangers and Motherwell in the next round.
Gers fans were quick to take to Twitter after his goal for the Dons – with one saying his transformation into a goalscoring midfielder was “peak 2020.”
Here are some of the comments from Rangers fans on Twitter:
