Ross County manager John Hughes has praised Staggies loanees Stephen Kelly and Charlie Lakin after they helped his side to an important win over Celtic last night – with Rangers kid Kelly seeming to have a massive fan in Yogi.
The pair played key roles in the 1-0 win over Neil Lennon’s side as the Highland side lifted themselves off the foot of the Premiership table and eased their relegation concerns.

“When this is all said and done, they are going back to their clubs,” Hughes said after his side’s win over Celtic.
“One or two boys had said to me ‘you need to be careful in what you’re doing’ but there’s no questioning their attitude.
“I’m next to Kelly every day talking to him because he talks football back to you. Charlie (Lakin) probably found himself hard done by because when he’s come in, he’s scored a couple of goals but I just felt I’ve needed to change it. The two of them have done really, really well.
“I’ve been talking away to the two of them in terms of how they’re going to go about it and, that dynamic stuff we’ve got with Paton and Charlie and Kelly, That’s hard to go and play against and we needed that tonight.”
Kelly has made 22 appearances for County this season as he looks to build on an impressive campaign last term at Ayr United in the Championship.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard has raved about the midfielder in the past and it will be interesting to see if he is given a chance to impress with the first-team next season.
