Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has long been touted as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement at Liverpool when the German decides to move on from Anfield – but after the Gers’ latest struggles, some fans are far from convinced.

Gerrard’s legacy at Anfield has few equals and the former Liverpool skipper has made a strong start to life in management, with Klopp even suggesting he could replace him in the future.

After seeing Rangers lose 2-1 to Kilmarnock last night to fall ten points behind bitter rivals Celtic in the Scottish Premiership fans of both sides were questioning that logic.

The Gers have a game in hand on Celtic but now need Neil Lennon’s side to slip up if they are to have any chance of wrestling the title away from them.
