Rangers have opened talks over the possibility of signing 20-year-old goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic from FC Cukaricki according to a report.
According to FootMercato, Nice, Paris FC, Getafe, Anderlecht and KV Mechelen have all enquired about a move for the youngster but none have made any official offer so far.
The young keeper is highly-touted but after the signing of Jon McLaughlin and with Robby McCrorie and Kieran Wright already at the club, it is difficult to see a spot for him.
McLaughlin is almost certain to fight it out with Allan McGregor for the number one spot this season, with Andy Firth offering cover, while McCrorie and Wright could both find themselves heading out on loan again.
The Gers may well have previously looked at a possible move for Petrovic but it seems unlikely that there will be any concrete offer to bring him to Scotland in the near future.
Rangers have already made four signings this summer with Jermain Defoe and Ianis Hagi making their loan moves permanent and Calvin Bassey joining McLaughlin in signing on a Bosman.
A move for another keeper seems unlikely to happen this summer unless it is too good a deal to turn down but Gerrard will likely turn his focus to other positions now.
