Former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson has received an opportunity to deal a big blow to Celtic in early 2022.
That’s because his Alloa Athletic side have been drawn against the Hoops in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.

Given that the Wasps are in the third tier these days, it would be a massive upset if they were to dump Ange Postecoglou’s side out of the cup.
Alloa’s form this season hasn’t been great, either. They are currently sixth in the League One table with more defeats than victories to their name.
However, they will have the benefit of home advantage when they take on Celtic and the Indodrill Stadium can be a difficult place to go to.
Even when Alloa were struggling badly in the Championship last season, they defeated runaway league leaders Hearts there in the League Cup.
And if Ferguson was able to mastermind a high-profile giant-killing in January, it would do wonders for his reputation as a manager.
The 43-year-old perhaps isn’t the most popular ex-player with Rangers fans right now due to recent comments made in the media.
But he’ll certainly win some supporters back if his Alloa side knock out the Hoops and make Rangers’ quest for a first Scottish Cup win since 2008/09 a little more straightforward.
