Rangers defender Filip Helander has praised the Gers transfer business so far this summer and thinks that it is a “great signal” ahead of the new season.
Calvin Bassey and Jon McLaughlin have both signed on Bosmans while Ianis Hagi and Jermain Defoe converted their loan deals into permanent transfers.
The Swedish defender thinks the signings help make Steven Gerrard’s side as “strong as possible” as they prepare for the season getting underway on August 1.
“I think it’s a great signal from the club,” Helander told Rangers TV.
“As a player you want your team to be as strong as possible and that’s what we’re looking for every day in training when new players are coming in.”
Helander has been sidelined since a foot injury picked up in the League Cup final defeat by Celtic in December and his return to action will be welcomed.
The Swedish international is likely to partner Connor Goldson in central defence once the season starts and his run in the team coincided with the Gers best run of results last season.
With the transfer window set to remain open until October, there are likely to be more new faces arrive over the coming weeks and months.
