Rangers have flown out to Gibraltar this afternoon ahead of Thursday’s Europa League tie with Lincoln Red Imps – and were joined by Alfredo Morelos as transfer speculation and injury concerns surround the striker.

Morelos was stretchered off at the weekend after a sickening challenge by Dundee United’s Ryan Edwards, leaving the Colombian with a hole in his thigh and potentially looking at time on the sidelines.

The Gers however were without Brandon Barker or Ryan Jack as they left Scotland with the pair remaining in Scotland to continue treatment on the injuries they picked up against Dundee United.

There was a further boost for the Gers as Allan McGregor and Jermain Defoe also travelled with the squad ahead of the second qualifying round tie.

Morelos has been on the bench for Rangers’ last couple of games but was given a chance to impress o Saturday when injury brought Barker’s game to a premature end, before Morelos suffered the same fate.

The Colombian has been the Gers’ talisman in recent seasons, particularly in Europe, setting a single season record for the most goals scored by a Rangers player in European competition with 14 last term.

Gerrard now seems to have plenty of attacking options for the clash with the minnows with Morelos, Defoe, Kemar Roofe and Cedric Itten all travelling to the British Overseas Territory and it will be interesting to see just how he sets his side out on Thursday evening.
