Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has admitted that he” never get bored” of talking about Gers star Alfredo Morelos after the Colombian again came to Rangers’ rescue with a crucial goal.
Morelos hit his 21st of the season in the 2-0 win over Porto, setting up Steven Davis for the other, and Gerrard insists that El Buffalo deserves all of the praise.
Gerrard substituted Morelos late on and admitted that was so he was available for the next game with Feyenoord as he has a yellow-card suspension looming.
“I will never run out of things to say about Alfredo because he keeps providing game-changing moments,” Gerrard said, as quoted by the Evening Times.
“He deserves to be praised. I’ll never get bored of talking about him. He’s a fantastic player. I got him off at the end because he’s carrying two yellow cards but he’s available for Feyenoord.”
With every game, Morelos adds to his transfer value and shows why he’s such an important part of Gerrard’s side.
Keeping him fit and scoring regularly is going to be key to the Gers title hopes and it wouldn’t be a surprise if Morelos smashed last season’s tally of 30 goals before Christmas.
There’s no doubt that he deserves every single bit of praise coming his way and the Gers are lucky to have such a fantastic player at Ibrox.
