Rangers will finish the Scottish Premiership campaign on May 16 with the Scottish Cup final falling six days later as the SPFL and Scottish FA announced the outstanding dates for the remainder of the season.

After the Scottish Cup was halted as part of the lower league shutdown, it led to some rejigging of dates as the Cup is moved back several weeks to fit it in, roughly, on time.

The upcoming Old Firm clash on March 21 is the final pre-split fixture as the Gers look to have the title wrapped up before the league divides in to in April.

With Steven Gerrard’s side playing the top six again, there will be one more Old Firm to come – as well as Gerrard’s side being presnted with the league trophy at the final home game of the season.

The post-split Premiership dates are:

  • Rd 34 – Weekend of 10/11 April
  • Rd 35 – Midweek of 20/21 April
  • Rd 36 – Weekend of 1/2 May
  • Rd 37 – Midweek of 11/12 May
  • Rd 38 – Weekend of 15/16 May

The resumption of the Scottish Cup sees Gerrard’s side take on Cove Rangers in the Third Round and the game, originally sheduled for January, will be played on the first weekend of April with the Light Blues live on Premier Sports.

The final will take place at Hampen, two weeks after its original date, and raising fears that the national stadium will no longer take part in the Euros this summer.

  • Third Round: Saturday, 3 April
  • Fourth Round: Saturday, 17 April
  • Fifth Round: Saturday, 24 April
  • Semi-Finals: Saturday, 8 & Sunday, 9 May
  • Final: Saturday, 22 May
