Rangers manager Steven Gerrard pointed the finger at the Scottish FA for their poor treatment of Ryan Jack which has left the Gers midfielder sidelined through injury – and Gers fans on Twitter couldn’t believe how reckless the national team’s staff have been with the Ibrox star.
Jack was forced to withdraw from the Scotland squad for the Euro 2020 qualification defeat by Belgium after a long-standing knee complaint flared up after being put through an excessive training session days after playing in the Old Firm defeat by Celtic.

Gerrard hopes Jack will be fit to return to training today but slammed the “careless” treatment Jack received at the hands of the national team.
“I think it’s just careless. You should never, ever do 11k two days after playing 90 minutes. That’s the education I’ve had,” Gerrard said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“Ryan’s got a knee issue that he manages and he has done for a long time.
“The SFA are aware of that, their fitness coach is aware of that. I think everyone in Scotland watched the Old Firm and saw Ryan play 90 minutes. And then 48 hours afterwards, he did a double session.”
Gers fans on Twitter were quick to agree with the Rangers manager – with one saying the Gers should sue the SFA.
Here are some of the best comments from Rangers fans on Twitter:
Would love to see Rangers telling the SFA our players are no longer available

jack did an 11k days after an old firm game. Training 6 days a week different story on the body.Competitive match without proper rest is extremely damaging to an athletes body whether be football or running or even a game of basketball.Seriously @RangersFC should sue @ScottishFA

Absolutely ridiculous that Ryan Jack was treated like this by Scotland. Totally negligent. https://t.co/AWnbI4ntIM

Safe to say Gerrard is fuming with the SFA for their treatment of Ryan Jack.
He certainly didn’t hold back in today’s presser

I don’t know why we bother sending players on Scotland duty. Clarke won’t play them and they would get booed if he did. Time to call it a day and let the SFA get on with it

Not one bit happy with Ryan Jack's treatment by Scotland, and rightly so. Disgraceful.

We shouldn’t let our players play for @ScotlandNT they’re an unprofessional, shambolic organisation and their support absolutely despises everything about our club. Add to the fact, they’re absolutely useless and it all makes sense to advise the players to say no to them.
