Rangers lost ground on Celtic in the title race after a disappointing 2-2 draw with Aberdeen at Pittodrie – and much of the Gers fans’ ire was reserved for Connor Goldson and Filip Helander.

The defensive duo were posted missing at both Aberdeen goals and fans were left fuming as they managed to cost the Gers what should have been a routine win.

With a massive League Cup final clash with Celtic on Sunday, Gers fans are now worried the defensive duo will cost them the club’s first chance at silverware since 2011.

Goldson and Helander have cemented themselves as Gerrard’s first-choice centre-back pairing and have consistently featured in recent months – but some fans are now calling for a change.
