Rangers fans have slammed Joe Aribo after a lacklustre individual display in the defeat to Kilmarnock on Wednesday evening.

The 23-year-old was retained in a midfield role for the trip to Rugby Park ahead of likes of Steven Davis and Glen Kamara, following his important goal at Hamilton a few days previous.

Yet, he, like many of his teammates, failed to do enough.

Around 20 minutes into the game, the Nigeria international picked up a knock and Greg Stewart was readying himself to be subbed on.

However, he appeared to run off the problem and had his best spell in the game leading up to the half an hour mark.

Showing some lovely touches and feet to skip past opposition players, he looked lively and in the mood to make something happen.

The Gers would take then take the lead in the 32nd minute through a stunning Scott Arfield strike and all seemed to be rosy.

However, Aribo and plenty of others failed to show in the second half.

The ex-Charlton Athletic man went back into a shell and the spark he had shown briefly in the first half was now gone.

Unable to provide control of possession or to press forward and link up attacks, he was very much on the peripheries until being substituted for Florian Kamberi in the 86th minute.

Plenty of Bears were less than content with his showing and voiced their displeasure on social media.
