Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to ridicule an article suggesting Celtic could be “just seven points off” the Light Blues – “had it not been for their fatal flaw.”
While Celtic, in reality, sit 18 points behind Steven Gerrard’s side, Parkhead cheerleader Matthew Lindsay decided to come with an alternative history to lessen the pain.

Obviously, the fact Rangers have gone the season unbeaten so far was lost on the Glasgow Times writer as he argued why Celtic should have more points than they’ve earned.
What’s glaringly missing is a similarlty pro-Rangers retelling of history in which the Light Blues are yet to drop a point or concede a goal (incredibly that is less of a change that Lindsay’s magical tale) as they cruise to the title.
Gers fans on Twitter were in hysterics as they read the article, with several pointing out that Celtic’s “fatal flaw” was that they simply weren’t good enough to compete with Rangers this season.
With the Gers just a matter of weeks from being officially crowned champions, fans weren’t in a forgiving mood as they ripped Lindsay’s work of fiction to pieces.

Great point. Just thinking tho, if Rangers werent forced to play on a plastic pitch, if the linesman at Hibs had done his job and if Don Robertson was Ally McCoist then Rangers would be 26 points clear right now or 15 points clear of a hypothetical Celtic can defend corners team

Otherwise, had Rangers not drawn three matches, they could be six points further ahead. It's equally true.

Brilliant point.
In comparison, if it wasn't for Rangers fatal flaw of conceding right footed goals they would have only conceded 3 league goals instead of 9 and would be 24 points clear instead of a meagre 18. They'd also still be in the League Cup. #GerrardOut https://t.co/EzoLt2W5KD
