Rangers fans react to latest reported name to join Celtic exodus

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths could join the summer exodus from Parkhead as key men on the other side of the city flee like rats from a sinking ship – and Rangers fans on Twitter are absolutely loving it.

According to a report in the Scottish Sun, Griffiths could be released by Celtic and link up with departing captain Scott Brown in Aberdeen as part of Stephen Glass’ rebuilding job at Pittodrie having succeeded Derek McInnes.

The Scotland international is waiting to hear if Celtic will take up an option to extend his contract, as they rebuild after Neil Lennon’s reign as manager came to a catastrophic end and led to the departures of Lennon, Brown, director of football Nick Hammond and chief executive Peter Lawwell.

The prospect of Griffiths heading to Pittodrie is one Gers fans are looking forward to – with some thinking the Dons could overtake Celtic as Rangers’ main title challengers next season.

Others aren’t quite as forward-looking though and were simply loving the fact that another of the Celtic players who took great joy in revelling in the Gers’ struggles is being chased off.
