Rangers fans have responded on social media after the Gers starting XI to take on Livingston in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-final at Ibrox was confirmed.
It’s a big tie for Steven Gerrard, as a win would move him just two matches away from his first domestic cup as a manager.
He didn’t have a full squad to choose from, with Filip Helander, Ryan Jack and Ryan Kent all ruled out through injury.
In a pre-match boost, though, Gary McAllister confirmed that both Ianis Hagi and Nathan Patterson were back available following absences caused by Covid and injury respectively.
In all, Gerrard has made six changes to the team that drew 1-1 with Motherwell in the Premiership on Sunday.
The first alteration is in goal, with Jon McLaughlin coming in for Allan McGregor.
In defence, only Connor Goldson continues, with Nathan Patterson, Leon Balogun and Calvin Bassey coming in for James Tavernier, Jack Simpson and Borna Barisic.
Joe Aribo and Glen Kamara keep their spots in midfield but summer signing John Lundstram replaces Steven Davis.
Finally, there’s one change at the top end of the pitch, with Alfredo Morelos replacing Fashion Sakala to join Kemar Roofe and Scott Wright.
Will this team be strong enough to book a spot in the semi-finals?
Plenty of supporters are very disappointed that a first Rangers start wasn’t handed to Juninho Bacuna, who showed promise off the bench at the weekend.
Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:
