Rangers take on Aberdeen in a crunch Scottish Premiership match at Pittodrie tonight and Gers boss Steven Gerrard has made two changes to the side which beat Hearts 5-0 on Sunday – leaving Gers fans on Twitter concerned over the whereabouts of Borna Barisic.

Gerrard has recalled Jon Flanagan in place of Barisic with Ryan Jack also replacing Glen Kamara in his side to face the Dons ahead of Sunday’s massive League Cup final clash with Celtic at Hampden.

Last time Rangers and Aberdeen met, the Gers ran out comprehensive winners at Ibrox, romping to a 5-0 win over Derek McInnes’ side in September.

Aberdeen are in much better form this time around though after winning four of their last five games and a trip to Pittodrie is always a challenge for the Gers.

Picking up three points tonight is crucial in the race for the title and would be the ideal preparation for Sunday’s cup final.

Gers fans on Twitter were generally happy with Gerrard’s selection but there was some real concern over Barisic’s absence ahead of Sunday.
