Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has named his starting XI for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership clash with Aberdeen at Ibrox – and fans are delighted to see former captain Lee Wallace named as a substitute.
The Light Blues boss has made one change to his side to face the Dons with Ryan Kent replacing Daniel Candeias after returning from suspension, as confirmed by the Gers official Twitter account.
Aberdeen won the last meeting between the two sides when they faced off in the Scottish Cup last month but Gerrard’s side will be hoping to continue their recent run of recent wins.
Former captain Wallace has barely featured over the last two seasons and looks set to leave the club in the summer when his contract ends.
With only a handful of games left in the seasons, fans had hoped he was given a chance to say goodbye after a tumultuous eight years at the club – and it looks like that could come this afternoon.
