Rangers secured the SPFL Reserve League title today with a 3-1 win over Falkirk – and Gers fans on Twitter were delighted to see the young Gers get their hands on the trophy.
A double from Andy Dallas and Rhys Breen’s header saw Graeme Murty’s side secure the title on goal difference from Celtic and cap off a fantastic season for the club’s Academy sides.
Despite going a goal down at the Falkirk Stadium, the Gers showed great character to turn the game around and see out the win they needed.
With a number of the squad who lifted the Scottish FA Youth Cup at under-18 level also involved in the reserves, there was a pretty youthful Rangers side out against the Bairns.
First-team star Graham Dorrans also played the full ninety minutes as he continues his return from a two-year injury nightmare.
